Many other products containing glucosamine or chondroitin sulfate are made from animal by-products such as shark cartilage, shellfish and bovine cartilage, which involves ending the lives of these animals. Because elk naturally shed and regrow their antlers each year, producing elk velvet antler does not harm any animals. It’s also a 100% renewable resource.

The recommended dosage for cats and dogs is one capsule per 40 pounds of body weight or one treat per 35 pounds of body weight, once a day. The recommended dosage for horses is one level tsp. of Equineva powder per 100-250 pounds of body weight. Equineva can be sprinkled over moist food or administered directly.

For humans: QEVA for people is supplied as 280 mg capsules or in powder form. The recommended dosage is 2 capsules per day. We recommend taking QEVA in the morning.

In most people, QEVA™ will produce results within one to two weeks. Chronic conditions may take longer to respond. Dogs and cats will show marked relief of symptoms of osteoarthritis and senility within 2 to 4 days.

The elk freely roam 2,500 acres of open pastures and are handled minimally. They are raised using all natural feeds, without hormones, or animal product feed additives. All elk used to produce velvet antlers are regularly tested and monitored for diseases, including tuberculosis and chronic wasting disease.

QEVA™ is harvested from the elk bulls under a protocol developed with the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association. This protocol requires training and certification of the owners/operators and is done humanely using analgesia to block the pain. The elk are restrained in a padded squeeze and chemicals or medications are not used on the animals for any QEVA™ products.
