The leaves are turning, there’s a chill in the air and its clear that summer is over and fall is upon us. Summer is definitely our busiest time of year, but there are no signs of slowing down here on the ranch. Terry and the gang are being kept very busy with long to-do lists in preparation for winter. Due to the ridiculous weather, we are still trying desperately to get the hay cut and gathered for winter feed for the herd.

Quality Assurance Program

Qeva elk velvet antler quality is assured through a 10-step approach, which guarantees our customers the highest standards and quality products available.

  1. Qeva products are produced only from velvet antler harvested from elk raised onour ranch, and/or partner ranches. The elk are raised outdoors in large pastures using all natural feeds without antibiotics, hormones, or animal protein supplements.
  2. All elk on our ranch, and partner ranches, are regularly tested and monitored for tuberculosis and chronic wasting disease and are not under any restriction for the sale of velvet antler by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency for these diseases.
  3. Antler is harvested in the velvet stage at the time of highest biological activity.
  4. Only whole antler, of which no more than 30% may be from two and three year old animals, is included in Qeva products to ensure a consistent high potency product.
  5. Our on-farm food safety program requires that all antler harvested meets food grade standards without the use of chemicals or drugs for resistant.
  6. Velvet antlers are humanely harvested using analgesia to ensure freedom from pain and animal welfare standards are met.
  7. All Velvet antler is freeze dried to 98% dry matter to prevent damage from heat and to fully preserve biological activity to ensure maximum potency and shelf life of Qeva products.
  8. Complete traceability of Qeva products from consumer back to individual animals on the ranch is possible by individual animal identification, tamperproof identification of all antlers processed, recording all antler identification in each processing batch and product recall records maintained for all sales of Qeva products.
  9. Qeva products are only processed under Good Manufacturing Practices and carry a GMP seal audited by the National Nutritional Food Association on all packaging.
  10. Qeva products are shrink wrapped and sealed to provide tamperproof packaging and consumer protection.
